We caught up with Jennifer Stringer, BHS coach of JDS Equestrian to find out how she is getting on with the new Crosby Dressage with Adjustable Knee Block.

“I am in love with my new dressage saddle! I have found the seat of my Crosby saddle to be well shaped to support my tall physique, yet still allow for freedom of movement.

When riding, I don't like to feel like I'm stuck into a saddle, I prefer to feel like I'm sat with the horse, which this saddle supports!

The leather of this saddle is beautifully soft and supple, the movable knee blocks allow for optimum comfort and adjustability, and the design is professional. My horse is not easy to fit to, he's deep and very high withered, with big shoulders and a narrow chest. The deep gusset of the Crosby saddle supports his back and the wide panel gives room for the spine, overall the saddle fit is lovely!

Currently, we are using a thin prolite pad underneath the saddle, which is allowing him to fill out the Medium/Wide gullet he is currently in whilst he develops over the winter. One of the great benefits of this saddle is the Opti-Fit Gullet System which means as he changes shape, my saddle can adjust with him. At the moment, we are training towards the 2020 eventing season and we have just won our arena eventing competition at Greenlands.

I will definitely be looking at getting a jump saddle from Crosby Saddlery too!”
